Upcoming junk and stuff

The review of Tremors 3 wraps up my reviews of the five films. In case you were wondering I’d put them in this order from best to worst- 1, 4, 5, 3, 2. I updated my blog profile picture. The previous one was from like summer of 2013 and the new one is from last month. For next week I hope to review Christmas episodes of the Avengers, Bewitched and maybe one more. Looking at January I’m thinking of doing a Voyagers! week and then spending the rest of the month being clean up duty where I’ll try to review the 10-12 films I’ve promised to review over the last three years, but never have. Also Skeletor will drop by, there will be another segment of one season shows and 80’s-90’s video games will likely come back as a monthly segment.

Due to activities with the kids, car repairs and long hours at work my DVD viewing time has been limited. I’ll have to put War in space and Message from space at another time. I hope to do another 80’s arcade game this weekend. Then I’ll go into Invisible week and that doesn’t mean the posts will be invisible. I’ll review two Invisible Man films plus invisible people episodes of Gilligan’s Island and the Avengers plus maybe something in general about using invisible types in TV and films.

Upcoming junk and stuff

I didn’t get to review The war in space or Messenger from space this week. So I am extending 70’s space week into this coming week and will review both those plus an episode of Battlestar Gallactica and another 70’s arcade game. I have actually just started another blog that’s about rock shirts. Feel free to go read the first post. I might only be posting on my new blog just once or twice a week and I ask some others to contribute as well.

Upcoming junk and stuff

Since I didn’t get around to reviewing Message from space this week I will do it this coming week. Then I’ll add in War in space, an episode of Space Academy plus an episode of the animated Star Trek and call it 70’s space week. So strap yourself in and get ready. Maybe in honor of the week I’ll throw in a 70’s arcade game as well likely a space one. I was sad by the deaths of James Best of Dukes of Hazzard fame and character actor Geoffrey Lewis this pas week. Both actors I grew up watching and enjoying. Have not gotten around to watching anything with either of them yet this week, but hopefully I’ll get to that this weekend.

Easter is coming up. Final Four is here but I hate Kentucky and Duke although I think they’ll be in the championship. Best of luck to Maryland’s womens team in the final four as they take on UConn tomorrow night.  Of course opening day is coming up so go Cubbies. I hope to have something on The Land that time forgot tomorrow. Next week I should do an 80’s video game, It came from the bargain bin and maybe reviews of Message from space and the Tell-tale heart. Also we went to the local Peep show yesterday at the Arts Council. No it’s not that kind of peep show, but rather people make art and figures from the marshmallow Peeps and they are on display for people to say. My wife took a bunch  of pictures so I’ll post some of those this week as well.

I still hope to review one more Monster Squad episode on Saturday plus maybe something wrapping my thoughts on the show. Then I’ll aim to do an 80’s arcade game on Sunday. Next week will be Dinosaur week with reviews of Jurassic Park 3, When dinosaurs ruled the earth, The land that time forgot and maybe even an episode of The land of the lost if I can get to it.

I’m dedicating this week to what was probably my favorite show when I was like 6. That would be the oh too short lived Saturday morning live action show the Monster Squad. I’ll set it up Monday with something general about the show and then review three episodes during the week.

I was going to review several episodes of the Hulk next week, but instead I think I’ll just do one on St. Patrick’s Day. I also hope to do an 80″s arcade game, It came from the bargain bin, a review of Wolf Cop and maybe one more review.

Upcoming junk and stuff

Sad to see Harve Bennett pass away the other day, he was of course most known for his work as a producer and writer with some of the Star Trek films and the Six Million Dollar man. Glad to see that Harrison Ford wasn’t hurt worse in his plane crash. For events around here I’m still hoping to have something about what Leonard Nimoy brought to the Spock role on Saturday or Sunday to wrap up Spock week. Next week 80’s arcade games will return then the rest of the week will be “Dracula Spectacula” week with reviews of House of Dracula, Count Dracula and Dracula 2000 plus maybe one more topic.

I hope to review Don Dohler’s Galaxy Invader before the end of the week.  Next week will be giant monster week and I hope review War of the gargantuas, King Kong Escapes, a Gamera movie and It came from the bargain bin with Konga plus 80’s arcade games. Lately a lot of my TV watching has been dedicated to older shows including the Adventures of Brisco County Jr., MacGuyver, The Bionic Woman and Space Rangers. Looks my connection problems are resolved so now I just have to get to watching and reviewing stuff regularly.
